The volumetric flask is a precision flask for preparing solutions to an exact, known volume. It has a pear-shaped, flat-bottomed bulb and a long narrow neck with a single calibrated line, and is supplied with a polyethylene stopper. Calibrated to contain (TC) at 20°C and manufactured to DIN ISO 1042, the narrow neck lets the meniscus be set precisely to the mark for high volumetric accuracy. Each flask is supplied with a batch certificate.
