Drying Tubes

Price range: R79.12 through R117.13

The Drying Tube features a ground standard taper male(cone) joint for secure attachment to laboratory glassware and a 90 Deg bent delivery tube with a fire-polished open end for efficient gas transfer.

The compact design allows gases such as nitrogen, argon, or air to be introduced into reaction vessels while maintaining an airtight seal. It is used to remove moisture from gases or protect sensitive reactions and samples from atmospheric water. It works by housing a desiccant, a substance that absorbs water, such as calcium chloride or silica gel, to keep air-sensitive equipment and reagents dry.
